A pleasant experience, a nice building location and a very nice breakfast buffet. The rooms are designed in a modern fashion, yet they are not uncomfortable to stay.
The interior hallways are very dark and could certainly benefit from some additional lights.
The hotel was really beautifully designed, with an intelligent mix of old and modern details. The service of the staff was polite and efficient. The restaurant, Maki, was excellent. The choice of dishes is rather limited though, so it is advisable to check the menu before making a reservation. All in all the hotel is highly recommendable.
The breakfast was adequate, but not more than that.
The design of the hotel was just nice. A mixture of modern and traditional(?) Norway building had a very good mood.
If you prefer a large room, you should book the suit. The regular double room we took was a bit small.
Location. Style. Dinner
1. Plugs to bath and basin wouldn't remain closed. 2. Lighting control inadequate - didn't work properly.
Hotel Brosundet has a very comfortable modern feel to it which attracted us to stay here as it is slightly more expensive than other hotels in the same area. It is an old converted fish warehouse and is right on the Brosundet Canal, the rooms are small but perfectly formed, we stayed for three nights so did not really unpack, I think if we were to have stayed longer I would have been bothered by the size of the room. The staff are very welcoming and friendly.
We did not eat in the restaurant other than the buffet breakfast which is well equiped however on our last morning we went down around 9am and there was no room for us in the dining area so we had to eat almost off our knees in the lounge area, we noticed many other guests inconvenienced in the same way.
Very good design, exelent located.
The location and especially the overview of the Canal.
They could not find our reservation from Booked.net
Hotel is of a high quality, which made this business trip a bit easier. Room was excellent and the food of a high standard.
The only thing I can be critical of is the price of accommodation.
Nice and clean. Modern and stylish rooms. Nice staff. Solid breakfast and included in the price.
Small queen beds. Small rooms. If you want view you have to get the romms that cost extra.
The staff were very helpful and efficient. The breakfasts were good and the evening meal we had was very good quality.
Our room was very small and up in the eaves of the hotel, with only a small velux window. Considering that the room cost over £140 per night it did seem rather expensive for what we received.
Alesund is a great small town and H.brosundet provided good start
Room was unusually small and for someone 6 feet tall makes the stay uncomfortable
Good breakfast / Horoshij zavtrak
I booked double room sea view – the room is very very small / Ja zakazival dvuhmestnij nomer s vidom na more - ochen ochen malenkaja komnata

Litle space (not roomy)
The room was really nice and cute. All this fashionable design makes your stay pretty comfortable. The hotel has a perfect location and rooms a terrific siightseeing: we could see all the city center from the bed.
Desspite the breakfast was quite tasty, it was a little poor on variety.
Excellent design features, lovely rooms, very helpful staff.
Food and drink is very expensive, mainly due to the GBP exchange rate.
